Alberta Provincial Nominee Program

There are currently five streams under the AAIP:

1. Alberta Express Entry Stream: This stream is open to candidates who have an active profile in the federal Express Entry system and who meet the eligibility requirements for the stream.
2. Alberta Opportunity Stream: This stream is open to foreign nationals who are already working in Alberta and who have an official offer of employment from their Alberta employer to continue working full-time in the province.
3. Alberta Immigrant Entrepreneur Stream: This stream is open to international entrepreneurs who want to start or buy a business in Alberta.
4. Alberta International Graduate Stream: This stream is open to international graduates from Alberta post-secondary institutions who want to work or start a business in Alberta.
5. Alberta Healthcare Stream: This stream is open to foreign nationals with experience in the healthcare sector who want to work in Alberta.

To be eligible for the AAIP

Applicants must meet certain criteria, such as having the required skills and experience, meeting language requirements, and having a valid work permit or study permit (if applicable). Applicants must also demonstrate that they have the financial resources to support themselves and their family in Canada.

If your application is successful, you will receive a provincial nomination certificate. This certificate will give you an additional 600 points in the federal Express Entry system, which will almost guarantee that you will be invited to apply for permanent residence.
