Canada Express Entry

Canada's Express Entry

Since its introduction in January 2015, the Canada Express Entry Program has been the primary driver for economic immigration to Canada. This is a completely electronic application management process that was designed to select skilled and qualified candidates who are eligible for Canada immigration.

What is the process for Canada Express Entry?

The Express Entry Pool requires that applicants who meet the eligibility criteria submit an online profile, also known as an Expression Of Interest (EOI), in one of three federal Canada immigration programs.

To be eligible, you must qualify for at least one of three categories. These categories are:

  1. Federal Skilled Worker
  2. Federal Skilled Trade Practices
  3. Canadian Experience Class

In this system, candidates’ profiles are ranked. Candidates who are ranked highest will be invited to apply for permanent residency. Those who receive an ITA are required to submit a complete application, including payment processing fees within 90 days. The federal government hopes to complete all PR applications within six months.
